Dennis Javelin - Braking System
The braking system on the early Javelin was drum based all round and fitted with S-Cam style brakes. We have designated these chassis as MK1’s. Later Javelin’s had front disc brakes fitted with a D2 type caliper on the front and Z-Cam brakes fitted to the rear, these buses are designated as Mk2’s. The most recent style of brakes are based on the D-Lisa type caliper and are designated as Mk3’s. For ease of use we have created separate sections each different braking system. If you are unsure what system is fitted to your coach then please have your chassis no’ available when you are ordering parts.
